Tracking (GA4, Google Ads, Meta and more)
Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest straight from the site, respecting the cookie notice.
What it is
The Tracking module adds the measurement tags to the site with no code to paste: Google Analytics 4, Google Ads (with enhanced conversions), the Meta pixel with the Conversions API, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Events go out on their own: form sent (ours, Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms and Elementor Pro), WhatsApp, phone or email clicks, scroll, downloads, search, video and the WooCommerce store steps. Everything also goes to the dataLayer. With the cookie notice on, nothing runs before consent; statistics unlocks GA4 and marketing unlocks the others. For Meta, the same event is sent from the browser and the server with the same ID, and Meta counts it once. The email and phone of whoever converts become an irreversible code (SHA-256) before leaving the site.
How to use it
- In the plugin menu, open Tracking.
- For each platform, tick "Turn on" and paste the ID (where to find it is written under each field).
- For Google Ads, paste the conversion label of each event you want to count.
- For Meta, also paste the Conversions API token (Events Manager → the pixel → Settings → Generate access token) and use "Test the Conversions API now".
- Tick "Tracking on on this site" and save. In the Automatic events tab, choose what each platform receives.
Common problems
Events don't show up.
With the cookie notice on, only visitors who accept are counted. Test in a private window accepting everything and check with Tag Assistant (Google) or Meta Pixel Helper.
The Log tab shows a Meta error.
The reason shown is Meta's own answer. A "token" error is almost always an expired token or one from another pixel: generate a new one in Events Manager and paste it again.
A platform shows "Paused".
Another plugin already does the same job (PixelYourSite, Site Kit, MonsterInsights…). So nothing is counted twice, Ranking Suite pauses only that platform. Deactivate the other plugin for Ranking Suite to take over.
If something goes wrong
Untick "Tracking on on this site" and save: no tag is added to the site, and your choices are kept.
